Save Money with the Daily Deal

Are you a restaurant looking to increase business or a customer looking for a great deal? Well, whichever you identify with the Groupon can benefit you. Some of you may have recently heard about the Groupon because of their mildly offensive Superbowl ad. Though primetime marketing may not be their specialty, Groupon is great at promoting businesses within your local community and saving you money.

The Groupon is a little over a year old and is different from any coupon you have used before. Their platform is based on collective action. A new deal is offered locally daily through their website. If enough people sign up for the deal, your credit card is charged through a secure server and you receive a link to print your Groupon. Follow the instructions for that particular deal, and you receive a fantastic savings! Now, getting people to sign up is probably the biggest challenge. Referring your friends is one of the best ways, and if they sign up, you receive $10 in credit. If no one signs up you just don’t get the deal, no hidden charges! One of our most valued partners, My Laundry Hamper, a customer-focused laundry and dry cleaning pickup and delivery service for busy people located in North Kingstown raves about the benefits of the Groupon. Learn more about My Laundry Hamper and their services on our partner page.

Groupon also uses their consumer clout to help out in each local community. They feature local charities and organize support for community causes. Log on to Groupon.com today to start saving!

North Kingstown Gymnastics off to a Good Start

The North Kingstown High School gymnastics season is in full swing and I could not be more excited about it! At the beginning of the season with only six returning gymnasts, I was a little unsure as to where the year would take us (seeing as though six are the minimum number allowed on a team). To my pleasant surprise five bright-eyed freshmen showed up to our first meeting last month and I knew we were off to a good start. Each girl brings her own unique quality to the table, whether it’s Olivia optimism or Melissa’s motivation, to really make us a well rounded team. Our three inseparable seniors this year, Rosie Warburton, Lindsay Nunnery, and Kayla Daly are sure to lead their teammates in the right direction. The three of them are vibrant and enthusiastic which spreads throughout all of the girls. Returning junior Alysse Pazienza- the 2009 High School State Champion, also understands what it takes to be a leader. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Alysse’s encouragement and support goes a long way. To have fun, maintain a positive attitude, and give 100% effort is what this team revolves around and I’m sure it will guide us through a successful season.

Bucci Insurance wishes the North Kingstown Gymnastics team the best of luck this gymnastics season!

Back to Bryant U

So this is it, senior year- I never thought this day would actually come! The summer is officially coming to an end and I’m heading back to Bryant University. While classes don’t actually start until September 7th, I will be spending the next week in RA training. This past January I was hired as a Resident’s Assistant and was re-hired for the 2010-2011 school year. I’m so grateful and excited for this opportunity. I have met a lot of great people through the program and it has taught me a lot about myself.

Although I will probably be busier than ever between school work, being an RA, continuing with Bucci Insurance, and taking the position of head coach for the North Kingstown High School Gymnastics Team, I’m looking forward to it being my best year yet! I’ll be sure to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way and spend time with those that mean most to me.

From here on, I plan on incorporating experiences and events going on in the Bryant community and gymnastics team into the blog. I also hope to introduce Bryant to some of the things I’ve learned about social marketing through this internship. I have high expectations for this year and do not doubt for a second that they will be met. :) Bryant University

Look in the Sky this Weekend for Rhode Island’s National Guard Open House Air Show

This weekend enjoy the 20th anniversary of the Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Airshow. This outstanding display can be found on 1 Belver Avenue in North Kingstown, Rhode Island on the 26-27th of June.  There are great performances by USAF Thunderbirds, C-130J Super Hercules, The Red Bull Air Force and so many more!

This is an event that people of all ages can enjoy and it’s free of charge! There are fun activities to participate in around the airport in an exciting and safe atmosphere. There are also sunscreen and earplugs available for the little ones that are donated by generous business in the area.

From the beginning the mission has been to, “put on a world class show featuring only the best aircraft and pilots and operate the show totally for the benefit of the community.” Over the past 19 years the RI Air Show’s contribution to local charities has surpassed $1,500,000 thanks to donations by the community, businesses, and attendees of the airshow.  This weekend fly over to Washington County for a performance that will take your breath away. If you wish, you may also make a donation at any of the entrances to support the Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

Bucci Insurance hopes your weekend in Rhode Island is at an all time high!
